For the 7th year, Danell Naef organized and lead the annual Basin City Turkey Trot hosted by Whitby Farms.

Participants of all ages, including those with strollers are encouraged to race. The turkey trot involves two distances, the 5k and 1 mile. Each race has a respective amount of winners. These winners not only receive a medal for their efforts, but a pumpkin pie as well.

Rather than charge an entrance fee or pay for a shirt, we would encourage you to make a donation of your choice to the Nazarene Fund. We will be accepting donations at the Turkey Trot. 100% of the money donated will be given to the Nazarene fund.

The Nazarene Fund is a charity that helps rescue, rebuild and restore Christian refugees.

Whitby Farms donated the t-shirts each participant received, and after the trot, Naef announced that $650 was raised for the Nazarene Fund.
