As a quality supplier of three-tie and big bale premium Alfalfa and Timothy, we ensure all hay is tested, labeled, and photographed prior to being tarped and stored in one of our many barns.
Once the product is labeled and in inventory, we invite customers from all areas of the world that need product to come and visit and inspect our product.

When the customer then orders the product, we process it in the Package that they prefer. We have the 2 processing plants. One in Moses Lake and another in Kittitas, In Moses Lake we process 25-30kg bales (1/2 cuts), to 450 KG mag bales. In our Kittitas Plant we can process 400-450kg bales that are pushed through a grid to make it more convenient for dairy mixers to feed their animals. This bale also can be 1/4 cut inside the sleeve for convenience.
delivered to port
When the product is pressed and then put inside the containers it is then delivered to the port in which the container shipping lines are located. Whitby also hires outside trucking to help accommodate when there is higher demand.
received by customer
Once the product reaches its destination, it is inspected then delivered to warehouses or direct to customers. We visit these customers and talk to them about their specific needs. If it’s feasible, we try to incorporate those needs into our farm production.
Forage forcasting
In visiting these foreign countries and gathering information about what is going on in the supply of forage from around the world, Lared then meets with the brothers and decides which commodity we will need to plant to keep filling the demands for each different commodity.

TIMOTHY PELLETS: Made from 100% pure timothy. We use only
our top grade timothy for our pellets. Ideal
for pet food; including rabbits, chinchillas,
horses etc.
GRASS SEED PELLETS: Made from seed screenings from seed production
of bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue.
Good cost effective feed additive for any
mixed feed ration.
GRASS STRAW: Whitby Ag offers bluegrass straw, ryegrass
straw and fescue straw. Grass straw is a
good source of fibre and a good cost effective
ration for the dairy and beef industries.
MIXED HAY FEED: Whitby Ag is capable of offering double compressed
hay mixed with various feed ingredients
to compliment your total mixed feed
ration requirements.
ALFALFA: Washington’s Columbia Basin is world famous
for producing the finest alfalfa in the
world. Whitby Ag is well known for providing
world markets with top grades of alfalfa in a
wide range of package sizes. Whitby Farms
is considered one of Eastern Washington’s
most capable suppliers of alfalfa from our
specialty big-stem 1st cutting 3-tie bales to
our high protein 2nd and 3rd cutting premium
hay.
TIMOTHY HAY: A high fiber grass with relatively low protein content, timothy hay is grown in very specific climate conditions to produce the highest quality forage.
For many years this product has been the premium roughage choice for horse owners around the world. Timothy hay promotes a shiny coat, good digestion, bowel regularity, and healthy weight. The clean, high- quality feed is perfectly suited to a horse’s digestive needs and can also be fed to many other types of livestock and other grazing animals.
Dairy cattle can benefit from incorperating Timothy Hay into feed rations, as it’s low protein content balances energy and nutrition requirements and has been shown in feed trials to be an ideal feed for pregnant and lactating cows.
